"Lauren was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with and if we could give 1000 stars on this review, we would.
My fiancée and I felt comfortable with every step of the process - Lauren went above and beyond with assisting us in planning the location, to capturing both candid moments and romantic poses, and providing responsiveness in communication.
The photos were perfection and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Also, as a LGBTQ+ couple, we felt very comfortable and safe. 10/10 experience!!!"

As your pnw elopement photographer, I help you explore ideas, navigate permit needs, choose meaningful locations, and answer any questions that come up along the way.
From your first consult to the moment your wedding day begins, I’m here to support you with planning and clarity.
Most couples choose to elope because traditional wedding expectations feel overwhelming. Even though elopements simplify things, they still involve planning. I’m here to make that process easier so you never feel like you’re figuring things out on your own.
Every couple who books with me receives my complimentary 90 Page Elopement Guide, a detailed resource designed to help you plan with confidence.
"Lauren was an absolute joy to work with! She is patient, kind, compassionate, and most of all, an amazing photographer!!!
My husband and I have never had photos taken of us, but we very quickly felt so at ease working with Lauren. Not only was she great with us, but with our family. She spoke to everyone with kindness and guidance. She helped us find locations that worked for us, and has extensive knowledge of the area we were eloping. She answered any and all questions we had in a very timely manner and with understanding.
I could not recommend Lauren enough!"
How do we even begin planning an elopement?
You don’t need to have it all figured out, that’s what I’m here for! I’ll walk you through each step, from location scouting and permits to timelines and tiny details. You’ll also get my 90-page Elopement Guide full of tips, vendors, activity ideas, and more.
What if the weather is bad on our elopement day?
I always have a weather-aware backup plan. With my trail experience and Wilderness First Aid training, we’ll pivot with ease. Rain or fog can create some of the most magical, mood-rich moments though. So try not to worry if there’s a little bit of rain in the weather forecast.
What makes your approach different from other elopement photographers?
I’m not just a photographer that will be there to take photos on your elopement day. I’m also your guide, your calm presence, and your co-creator. I offer planning support, ethical trail knowledge, and a deep respect for your story. This isn’t about just getting pretty pictures, it’s about building a day that feels like you.
What do we wear or bring for a hiking elopement?
Don’t worry, I’ll help you figure it all out! There’s easy ways to blend both style and function so you can feel both beautiful and comfortable outdoors. For longer or more strenuous hikes, couples usually opt to carry their wedding attire to the ceremony location, I can even pack my pop up changing room if needed! For shorter hikes, couples will often just hike in their wedding attire but wear hiking boots.
We’ve never had professional photos taken. Will you help guide us?
Absolutely! I get asked this question SO often. I’ll guide you gently, create space for real emotion, and help you forget the lens is even there. This is about capturing you being you.
Between permits, weather, vendors and choosing from a million stunning locations, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. You might think "How do I even begin?" or "What if I miss something important?" That's exactly where I come in.
If you're dreaming of a celebration rooted in nature and meaning, my Oregon Elopement Guide and Washington Elopement Guide are a great place to start. They're packed with tips on locations, logistics, timeline building, and so much more.
One of my favorite things about the northern Oregon Coast is it's diverse landscape. This region offers everything from sand dune covered beaches, to rocky cliff sides, to dense old growth forests. Picture yourself standing on iconic cliffs like those at Ecola State Park, or exchanging your vows with a waterfall and the ocean as your backdrop at Hug Point! Whether you're dreaming of a moody foggy morning or a golden hour glow, the Northern Oregon Coast is a coastal treasure perfect for your big day. Since the coast is public land this also means that there are no permits required to elope here!
If you're dreaming of eloping amidst breathtaking waterfalls, lush green forests, and dramatic cliffs, the Columbia River Gorge is the perfect spot to consider for your wedding day! This iconic Pacific Northwest location is home to famous waterfalls such as Multnomah Falls and Latourell Falls, as well as stunning overlooks such as Rowena Crest and Government Cove. Mount Hood and Portland are also a short drive away! Popular for elopements year-round, the Columbia River Gorge features a variety of easy-to-access as well as hike-in locations that suit any vision. Another perk about The Gorge is that there are no permits required!
The Southern Oregon Coast delivers some of the most jaw-dropping coastal scenery, this region is also less crowded during the summer months compared to the northern region of the Oregon Coast. With rugged sea cliffs and incredible rock formations like those found at Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, this stretch of coastline is perfect for a truly unique elopement. From the towering cliffs at Natural Bridges to the secluded coves at Secret Beach, the Southern Oregon Coast provides endless options for stunning ceremony backdrops. Perfect for couples who want a dramatic yet intimate seaside setting. Since the coast is public land this also means that there are no permits required to elope here!
For couples who crave a majestic mountain elopement, Mount Rainier is a top-tier choice within Washington State. With its towering glacier-capped peak, vibrant wildflower meadows, and sweeping alpine vistas, this national park offers some of the most stunning scenery in the Pacific Northwest. Locations like Paradise and Sunrise provide incredible views and romantic settings for your ceremony, while the surrounding trails lead to secluded spots for more adventurous couples. During peak season the park can get quite busy, but there are definitely times that offer more privacy. You will need to obtain a special use permit to exchange your vows here, which I'm happy to guide you through these steps!
This is one of my all time favorite areas! The Olympic Peninsula is a dream destination for couples who want a diverse and unforgettable elopement experience in Washington state. Home to lush temperate rainforests like the enchanting Hoh Rainforest, pristine alpine lakes like Lake Crescent, and wild, windswept beaches such as Ruby Beach. Couples who elope here can immerse themselves in jaw-dropping landscapes and enjoy quiet, secluded moments away from the crowds. Whether you’re drawn to moss-covered trees or the sound of the waves crashing on a rocky shoreline, the Olympic Peninsula provides a truly magical atmosphere for your vows.
